Nerd Dice: Character Background: Glayven the Satyr

Glayven was raised in the outskirts of Boston, but his memories of his parents and childhood friends seem distant. He had his epiphany at the age of sixteen, and realised that he didn't belong in Boston. He left home soon after, and spent some time travelling up and down the East Coast. He then traveled to Mexico, and picked up Spanish, before returning north.
He has been in Bellingham the last 9 months, and quite likes it there. He enjoys the young atmosphere, and people there seem to appreciate his loud drunken drumming on the streets. Sometimes shopkeepers give him money to show their appreciation, but they also say the money is for a little peace and quiet, and ask him to move on. If Glayven needs money, he can make quite a bit by drumming in peaceful areas.
He also has a fondness for a good drop of alcohol. His knowledge of different alcohols and wines are quite good, and most people don't expect this of him. He looks quite scruffy, with unkempt hair, but his clothes are a little cleaner than someone who lives on the street. He looks harmless and likeable, but carries a revolver for protection under his coat.
He has made friends with a linguistics lecturer, who sometimes works down at the Lighthouse Mission, local homeless shelter. On occasion she lets him stay at her house, especially in the winter months.
