Last Year v This Year

Last year I resolved to:

Some other good things that happened this year that weren't a part of any specific resolution:

For this year, I'm just going to do some standard style resolutions (no multiple choice decisions left up to the masses).

Interesting resolutions. I have resolved to get more exercise: I "mall walk" most work days and do my yoga tape on the weekends.
Be more creative: I have started on "drawing for the right side of the brain" and I'm taking pictures. Before January is out I will have my resume posted on Monster.com. We'll see what comes of it. Hope your B-day was a good one. Love Mom

My birthday was OK. Not great, not bad. We went to Watson's Bay but it was too cold & windy to really enjoy it. The weather is incredibly confused & thinks it's fall instead of the middle of SUMMER. But it was still a nice ferry ride and then we went to a friend's place to watch the fireworks on the bridge.

The weather is confused everywhere. Buffalo-two feet of snow in OCTOBER. Seattle-heavy winds knocking out trees and power. Denver-LOTS of snow. I'm sure even autumn in Australia isn't TOO cold compared to all that :).

Autumn in Australia is different depending on where you are in Australia. Sydney isn't tropical. Sure, it doesn't compare to the piles of snow happening elsewhere, but there was a reason I left the PNW & cold, wet weather, too. And I think anyone looking forward to summer is justifiably disappointed if it's cold, windy, and overcast, especially if it's your birthday! At least in the northern hemisphere, it's supposed to be cold right now, even if it's extreme and unusual cold.
