The Geek Icon

Jeneane tagged me for that Four Things meme.

Four Things

I'm not usually a memer, but since I got tagged by Jeneane, I'll give it a go:

Four Jobs I've Had

  1. Card Sorter for Wizards of the Coast
  2. Job announcement recorder for the HR department at my university (I had to sit in a tiny room reading job announcements into the phone to record into the voicemail system).
  3. Web Developer
  4. Web Developer

Four Movies I Can Watch Over and Over

So hard to choose!

  1. The Princess Bride (Are you trying to trick me? Where's the sports? Is this a kissing book?)
  2. Joe v. the Volcano (My father says that almost the whole world is asleep. Everybody you know. Everybody you see. Everybody you talk to. He says that only a few people are awake and they live in a state of constant total amazement.)
  3. Labyrinth (You have no power over me.)
  4. Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (Time's funny. When you're a kid, it passes slowly, and next thing you're fifty and your childhood fits into a rusty little box.)

Four TV Shows I Love to Watch

I don't watch a whole lot of television (usually on DVD these days), but these are definite favourites.

  1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I never got to see the end of the last season & I'm watching it on DVD now.)
  2. Battlestar Galactica (new school, and in a limited way, old school also)
  3. Monkey Business (monkeys rule)
  4. Cowboy Bebop (best animated serial evah)

Four Places I've Been on Vacation

  1. Guadalajara, Mexico
  2. St Petersburg, Russia
  3. Paris, France
  4. Sydney, Australia

Four Favourite Dishes

  1. My mom's lasagne recipe
  2. Seppo Ed Farrey's sweet potato walnut burritos
  3. English toffee bars (they are a James family secret and I will take the recipe to my grave!)
  4. Biscuits & tomato gravy

Four Websites I Visit Daily

  1. Penny Arcade
  2. Go Fug Yourself
  3. Dark, But Shining

Four Places I'd Rather Be

  1. Out having a coffee with Mr Wiggins
  2. At home
  3. At the beach
  4. On a sailboat, out on the ocean somewhere

Four Bloggers I'm Tagging

If you're reading this, and you wanna do one, consider yourself tagged.
