The Geek Icon

If only I was a full time weblogger.

Playing Catch-up

I've actually had a lot I want to post about lately. I just haven't had the time. The next few posts will be neat things from the past few weeks that I want to exhibit to you, my dear readers.

I still haven't had a chance to do anything about my new bookbinding fetish. I've been itching to try out the things I've learned from my new book, but cash and time are issues. The soon-to-be Dr Wiggins has run out of scholarship money, so a fair chunk of my income will be diverted to supporting that cause. Then once he has his PhD, he can get a filthy lucrative job and support me in a manner to which I'd love to become accustomed. Until then, less free $$ available for frivolous artistic pursuits.

Winter continues to get me down. You wouldn't think so, since right now looking out the window, the sky is bright and sunny, and it's warm in the sunshine. Not much of a depressing winter scene. But as long as it's dark before 5:30pm freezing cold at night, I will continue to be kicked in the tail by the winter blues.

Fortunately, as you will soon discover, I've been doing some things to combat my droopy mental state.
