The Geek Icon

Things I do to amuse myself on my lunch break.

Work Ethic

I do have a reasonably good work ethic. Honest I do. But sometimes I get bored at work, and then things like this happen.

Etherblade says:
Okay, pop quiz, hot shot. Is it a good thing or a bad thing that I can sound almost 100% like Gollum's voice?

Andrea says:
Good!

Etherblade says:
Oh really? Why's that?

Andrea says:
Because... Gollum the film character is computer generated, right? So if Andy Serkis ever, say, gets run over by a bus, you could do the voice instead!

Etherblade says:
But filming is already done. :(

Andrea says:
Sure of the movie. Pfah! You don't make money off being in a movie. JAPANESE COMMERCIALS, baby. That's where the money is.

Etherblade says:
I'll be danged.

Andrea says:
And, as your manager, I'll get 20%.

Etherblade says:
Blimey!

Etherblade says:
I've been snookered!

Behold, the terrors of idle amusement.

The 80 percent might buy me a tank of gas every week, so I guess I'm in after all. But drat you for making it a bureacracy.

Cool! would you be able to email me explaining to me the best you can how to get the voice of gollum. You know, what do you do to get that kind of tone? Thanx
